Puspa Kamal dahal prachanda elected as pm of nepal
Chairman of CPN Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has been elected as Prime Minister of Nepal in the election held in Parliament on Wednesday.

Dahal is the 39th prime minister of Nepal and the first Nepalese communist to become prime minister twice.

Prachanda has secured 363 votes out of 573 votes in the parliament. There was 210 votes against him.
 
Nepali Congress, the largest party in the parliament including Madhesi Morcha, Foram Loktantrik, RaPraPa and several other  small parties have supported Prachanda whereas few parties including CPN UML, RPP Nepal, CPN MaLe, NeMaKiPa etc voted against him.
 
Prachanda's victory was confirmed after they signed 3 points agreement between Congress-Maoist and Madhesi Morcha.

Some small parties like RaPraPa, Foram Loktantrik, Pariwar Dal etc. from Oli Coalitions government also voted Prachanda.
 
Prachanda was the only candidate in the election held today in the parliament as UML didn't register any candidate.
