Tikapur (Kailali), June 20: Home Minister Janardan Sharma has assured to provide justice to the victims of the Tikapur incident. Speaking at an election campaign organized by the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) here Tuesday, Minister Sharma who is also the leader of the party, said that the incident was planned and where a conspiracy has been made to drag the Maoist party into it. He claimed that the incident was made to create a tussle between Hilly and Tarai Tharu communities. Sharma added that separatist forces carried out the incident by playing in the vacuum between security forces and people. He further claimed that his party was the only party that has included peoples' agendas in the constitution. On a different note, Minister Sharma argued that he was development friendly and was not corrupt like others. The Tikapur incident took place on 24 August 2015, leading to the death of eight persons including seven police officers and a two-year old child.
