At least 28 people have been killed due to landslides and flooding across the nation, the home ministry informed.

 According to the ministry, 10 people have been injured while 24 people are missing in the landslides and flooding.

 In the press note released on Tuesday evening, it has been informed that 6 people are killed in Pyuthan, 5 in Gulmi, 4 in Palpa, 4 in baglung, 3 in Makawanpur, 2 in Rupandehi and one each at Kathmandu, Arghakhachi, Dolakha and Sarlahi districts.

 A suspension bridge has been washed away in Butwal due to the flood at Tinau river. Similarly, the bridge to Urlabari from Rangeli Morang has been washed away.

 According to ministy, 2 homes have been washed away at Tulasibari-2 of Dangibari Jhapa due to flood at Biring Khola where twenty five families have been affected.

Houses in Jhapa, Morang and Saptari districts have been swamped and the water level in Narayani river has reached at Red Alert situation while people at lower regions of Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts have been asked to remain alert.
