rescue work for Afgan Earthquake 2015
 
An earthquake measuring 7.5  with epicenter at south-west of Jarm city, 256 km north-east from Kabul,  has hit Afghanistan on Monday. The tremor was felt as far as in  Delhi, Tajikistan and Pakistan mostly affecting Pakistan. Early reports from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India have put the death toll at more than 229 with 154 casualty reported in Pakistan alone.
At least 12 girl students have been  died in a stampede while trying to escape the shaking school buildings in Afghanistan's Takhar province. More than  40 girls have been taken to the hospital in the provincial capital of Taluqan.Afgan officials have reported 74 deaths so far whereas one death has been reported from Jammu Kashmir of India.
It will take some time to the officials to access the real situation of the affected area as the epicenter of the earthquake is in mountainous area where homes are scattered across hilly region.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his offer to help the earthquake victims on rescue work in  Afghanistan and Pakistan.
